To date this has been my proudest job and one that I loved every minute of. I was absolutely honoured when I was invited to head up a team of hair and makeup artists to create the looks for two catwalk shows across two days at the Most Curious Wedding Fair.
I got to design the looks based on mood boards that had been inspired by Becky Hoy-Hale from the most curious team and Luke Reene the lead stylist.
The week before the show the weather took a turn for the worst and "THE Beast from the East" was heading our way. I took the decision to head into London a day early as I could not risk not getting there! It was absolutely bitter in town and there was proper snow everywhere which is a very rare sight.
I had a room at The Premier Inn in Aldgate which was a ten minute walk down Brick Lane to The Old Truman Brewery which is where the show was held. The venue itself was absolutely freezing and it didn't warm up all weekend but apart from the cold the weekend was AMAZING!!!!!
I met and got to hang out with some fantastic people, and I was surrounded by a crazy gifted and talented bunch. It was so inspiring to see all the different ideas and so refreshing to see a change to the traditional wedding theme, long may it continue.
The shows themselves were fantastic and I am very proud to say that I was a part of this event(I even got to meet Kat Williams from Rock & Roll Bride!!) My lovely family came and supported me as a surprise, I got to see JO from @joloveshair and I fell in love with Jo Fleming from @joflemingdesign(go check her out she is sooooooooo talented and lovely too. I made really good friends with Emma from @epiclovestory(shamazing photographer) I also got to work with some very talented ladies from the Love Hair Tribe and all in all had a blast!
Thank you to the Most Curious Team for having me, It was an absolute Pleasure. Below are some images of my journey in and the snow in Town, you can see some of the beautiful images from the show in my Gallery.
