Two weeks ago I assisted at my first Macmillan ran makeup workshop called the Look Good Feel Better campaign. This is a fantastic charity based organisation that puts on workshops for ladies going through or living with the side effects of cancer treatment and it makes such a massive difference to the people who attend. It is a chance for them to be themselves for two hours, they get to have fun, they learn a whole makeup look from cleansing right through to eyebrow application, blush, lip etc. they also meet ladies in similar circumstances and they get to take away a really fab goody bag which contains everything we showed them in the class. These items are donated by the big cosmetics brands, so are a lovely treat to keep after the event. The charity is rolling out a workshop for men over the next few months so hopefully they can benefit from a bit of pampering too! I felt very privileged to attend and I hope to do more in the future.
